"Ke Aloha ʻĀina" by Haley Kailiehu Ke Aloha ʻĀina - Haley Kailiehu - 2013 Inspired by her moʻokūʻauhau and experiences on the ala ʻūlili, Haley Kailiehu shared this painting with us. The painting, entitled "Ke aloha ʻāina," draws upon imagery reflective of the poʻe aloha ʻāina of Hāmākua: Hāloa (kalo), ʻāina, kai, koa, ihe (spears), and the ala ʻūlili.
