This website has been developed as a resource for our community in Hāmākua and ʻohana connected to Hāmākua, to share the work that our hui is engaging in with others, and to provide our community access to educational resources about the histories and ancestral knowledge of our ʻāina, so as to perpetuate & embody the traditions of our kūpuna who traveled these trails before us.

Hui Mālama i ke Ala ʻŪlili is a community-based nonprofit organization. Our mission is to re-establish the systems that sustain our community through educational initiatives and ʻāina-centered practices that cultivate abundance, regenerate responsibilities, and promote collective health and well-being.
